Places must see in switzerland

Switzerland:

There are some Switzerland Attractions with a certain prestige that most guests visiting never see. It is certainly not on everybodies agenda to take a trip on the famous Glacier Express or on the GoldenPass Panoramic train. The same can be said with the White Turf Events in St. Moritz or the European Masters Golf Tournament.

On the other hand, the Matterhorn in Zermatt, the Château de Chillon or the Rhine Falls are known worldwide. Those are well known Switzerland Attractions that do not just appeal to the High End demanding tourist. Our country is dotted with beautiful towns and small cities. Even Zurich as the biggest city has less than 400,000 inhabitants.

I am excited to show you the top places to visit in Switzerland that most tourists do not bother to see. Let's take a look at those Switzerland Attractions...

GoldenPass Panoramic Train

On this panoramic express train you will see a magnificent scenery on your way to Gstaad. If you have the time, you may want to continue your voyage to Interlaken and on to Lucerne and see two more Switzerland attractions. You are garanteed to enjoy a comfortable ride in VIP configuration.

These ultra-modern trains are designed to let you view the countryside that you are being taken across. Imagine being served a glass of champagne during your voyage. What a spectacular train ride to world famous Gstaad....

Yes, Switzerland is like a Swiss Emmental cheese. We have tunnels and bridges everywhere. One of the most fascinating Switzerland Attractions to see is by train.

From inside the castle, every window offers another spectacular view - whether it's one of the flower-filled courtyards, a view of the snowy mountains,or Lac Léman! You get to go on a guided tour, walking you through ancient rooms and where even the dungeon upon which Lord Byron based his poem "The prisoner of Chillon".

In Neuhausen on the border to Germany, visitors see the Rhine River with its glorious spectacle of the largest waterfall in Europe. An average of 700 m3 of water rushes over the cliffs each second.

You can take a boat ride to the rock in the center of the stream, which can be climbed. And don't forget to drink a good tasting capuchino in one of the cafeterías beside the falls.

Matterhorn

The Matterhorn at 4,478 m or "Z'horu" as we call it in our local valesan Swiss-German dialect, is the most famous peak in Switzerland and the Alps. I have some very interesting and never forgetting memories from tourists all over the world. You see as a helicopter pilot, I had the pleasure to show the Matterhorn also to some VIP's.

It's an impressive mountain and it's an incredible feeling to fly around the Matterhorn at an altitude of more than 4,000 m. Zermatt is also a High End ski resort but very busy in the winter as well as in the summer season. The Matterhorn, the Jungraujoch and the Glacier Express are the most visited Switzerland Attractions.
